SOIL: Rare B-Side Available For Download
August 14, 2007SOIL guitarist Shaun Glass has issued the following update:
"We are knee-deep in writing new music for the next album, so no shows for a while — sorry!! But we wanted to give all the junkies some stuff to tide you all over, so here is the new re-launched MySpaceSOIL site. We added a rare B-side from the 'True Self' session. The track 'Burn My Words' is a demo version that Mr. A.J. Cavalier [vocals] did the mix. So download it free. Also Tuesday, August 14, an old CD of ours by the name of 'Throttle Junkies' is coming back out with a few rare tracks from that era so check your fave stores for that!"
SOIL's latest CD, "True Self", was released in May 2006 via DRT Entertainment. The follow-up to 2004's "Redefine" was recorded and mixed at Bomb Shelter studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Ulrich Wild (STATIC-X, TAPROOT). The CD is the group's first to feature singer A.J. Cavalier, who previously fronted the California-based DIESEL MACHINE (also featuring ex-DAMAGEPLAN frontman Patrick Lachman on guitar). The band's original vocalist, Ryan McCombs, has since joined the Texas act DROWNING POOL.
