SOIL last year amicably parted ways with guitarist Shaun Glass due to "personal differences." The band will not seek a replacement guitarist but will remain a four-piece, with AJ Cavalier filling in on some of the guitar duties.
SOIL's latest CD, "True Self", was released in May 2006 via DRT Entertainment. The follow-up to 2004's "Redefine" was recorded and mixed at Bomb Shelter studios in Los Angeles, California with producer Ulrich Wild (STATIC-X, TAPROOT).
Following his departure from SOIL, Shaun has focused all his efforts on DIRGE, the new extreme metal project which he formed with THE DOOMSDAY SOCIAL drummer James Knight (ex-THE BLANK THEORY, CHACOPA) and ex-A TEXAS FUNERAL vocalist Jerms.
Lacey Conner, villainess co-star of VH1's hit TV show "Rock of Love" featuring POISON's Bret Michaels, conducted an interview with SOIL members Tim King and Adam Zadel at the Dean Guitars booth at this year's winter NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) show, which was held January 17-20 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California.
