SOILWORK Working On 'Sworn To A Great Divide' Video

February 1, 2008

Swedish heavyweight titans SOILWORK will return to North America as direct support to THROWDOWN this February/March. Joining them on what has been dubbed "The Scum Of The Earth" tour are THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and WAR OF AGES.

These Swedes have been touring tirelessly (aside from a little holiday gluttony) since the release of "Sworn To A Great Divide" last October. The band shows no signs of letting up and vows to tour even more throughout 2008.

Commented vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid recently offered this message to all the fans and soon to be converts: "SOILWORK has risen once again from all the Xmas/New Year's decadence (including too much Swedish herring, amber ales and what not). We're ready to strike North America once again together with THROWDOWN, THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and WAR OF AGES. It's going to be a long tour and as you can see by the tour schedule, it will cover a lot of cities. We'll see all of you out there: long time fans, the newly converted, doubters etc. No matter who you are, prepare to be hit by the Swedish bulldozer! Also, watch out for the next video being worked on at the moment for the title track 'Sworn To A Great Divide'!"

David Priest of OnTrackMagazine.com has uploaded a new video interview with SOILWORK drummer Dirk Verbeuren. Watch the 15-minute clip below.

SOILWORK sold 5,000 copies of its new album, "Sworn to a Great Divide", in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 148 on The Billboard 200 chart.

SOILWORK recently completed a North American tour with KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, LAMB OF GOD and DEVILDRIVER.
