SOLISIA Parts Ways With Singer, Announces Replacement

Italian female-fronted progressive symphonic metal band SOLISIA has parted ways with female singer Marilena Stigliano "due to differences in musical and personal opinion." A replacement vocalist has aready been enlisted in the shape of Medea. The group states, "Medea was chosen among several auditions with many great female voices.With a more aggressive voice but sweet in melodies, Medea is taking part to the songwriting for the next album."

SOLISIA's debut album, "Ordinary Fate", was released earlier this year via Underground Symphony Records. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Fear Studio in Ravenna, Italy. The artwork and layout was handled by Alexandra V Bach (KAMELOT, ADAGIO, AKEMYST, OPERATIKA).

SOLISIA features in its ranks bass player Andrea Arcangeli, who previously played with DGM and CONCEPT. According to a press release, the band "boasts a personal and intriguing mixture of symphonic power metal with frequent progressive suggestions and delicate gothic atmospheres, strong technical thickness and a fresh vibe in composition rarely found in contemporary metal scene."
