SOLITUDE AETURNUS Drummer Quits PHANTOM-X
October 21, 2008Steve Nichols, current drummer for Texas doom metal legends SOLITUDE AETURNUS, has left PHANTOM-X due to "professional differences." Nichols will continue playing with SOLITUDE AETURNUS, which is presently writing a new album with a possible European tour slated for 2009.
PHANTOM-X, the Dallas, Texas-based band featuring former OMEN singer Kevin Goocher, was scheduled to enter the studio in September to complete its third CD, entitled "This Is War", for a February 2009 release on Perris Records.
Poland's Metal Mind Productions re-released two albums from SOLITUDE AETURNUS — "Through The Darkest Hour" (1994) and "Downfall" (1996) — in March 2008 in Europe. Each remastered limited-edition digipack title (limited to 2,000 copies) included one or more bonus tracks and was made available on golden disc, digitally remastered using 24-bit technology.
