Son Of Former AC/DC Drummer To Grace BLOODSTOCK Unsigned Stage
April 24, 2007The organizers of the Bloodstock Open Air festival have confirmed that one of the most talked about young metal bands to come out of Kent, England — KOBRAKAI — will grace the second stage as this year's event. The group, which formed in 2003, has already played alongside TOWERS OF LONDON and THE INBREADS & THE GLITTERATI, and has received great reviews from the press, with Metal Hammer calling their music "forward-thinking, emotional, hardcore-inspired heavy rock with a strong metal edge."
KOBRAKAI's drummer Jack Slade is the son of former AC/DC drummer Chris Slade, and Jack has received rave revews for his breathtaking drumming from not just his father but also members of STONE SOUR, who are said to be "impressed" with Jack's talent and feel his band will be a name to look out for.
Chris Slade stated about KOBRAKAI, "Great band, great sound. They are going places." When asked his thoughts on Bloodstock Open Air, Chris commented, "Bloodstock is a festival NO metalhead should miss. See you there!"
The Bloodstock Open Air festival is set to take place August 16-18 at Catton Hall in Derbyshire, England.
