SON OF SAM: Another New Song Posted Online

SON OF SAM, the resurrected band led by DANZIG guitarist Todd Youth, has uploaded the track "Sons Of New" to its MySpace page. The song comes off the group's sophomore album, "Into The Night", due on September 16 through Horror High, LLC.

Commented band manager Jon Nelson: "We are all so excited for this release to come out. We will be selling this CD exclusively through select Hot Topic music stores and Interpunk.com online. Of course, digitally you will be able to get the CD through Amazon and iTunes. We wanted to work with retail stores that understand the concept of giving back to the fans. Hot Topic has agreed to sell the CD for extremely low price of $6.99! And Interpunk, while a little more expensive at $8.75, will be giving away a free exclusive SON OF SAM armband and a free exclusive SON OF SAM button to those that pre-order the release. In this day and age, you have to make music affordable. Hot Topic and Interpunk have always supported this style of music. We are very happy to working with them on yet another release. And of course, when the band goes out on the road, they will be selling the CD."

SON OF SAM recently announced the addition of singer Ian Thorne to the group's ranks. Ian joins Youth, Steve Zing and Karl "RockFist" Rosqvist, all of whom performed as DANZIG's band on his last tour.

Formed in 2000, SON OF SAM started as a horror rock "supergroup" side project created by Todd Youth during his tenure as the guitar player for SAMHAIN/DANZIG. The band recorded one album, which featured guest appearances by members of SAMHAIN, DANZIG and AFI.

After nearly a seven-year absence, SON OF SAM is back.

Commented Todd Youth: "After doing the three weeks of this past Halloween tour with DANZIG, Steve and I had so much fun playing together again we decided the time was right for SON OF SAM II."
