SONATA ARCTICA Members Get Inked At KAT VON D's High Voltage Tattoo

April 27, 2010

On Friday, April 23, SONATA ARCTICA keyboard player Henrik "Henkka" Klingenberg and bassist Marko Paasikoski ventured out to Kat Von D's High Voltage Tattoo in Hollywood, California for some ink work. The "Skull in a Top Hat" design on Klingenberg's left forearm took roughly 90 minutes to complete. Paasikoski's Chinese-styled dragon on the upper left arm took about four hours.

Photos of both tattoos can be viewed below.

States Klingenberg: "Ever since we found out about the possibility to get some ink done at High Voltage Tattoo, I nearly freaked out. Now having been there and done that, I can easily say that it was the best tattoo experience I've ever had. The atmosphere and overall feel of the place was great. Adam Forman — who did our tattoos — was fuckin' amazing... great vision and talent.

"Cheers and a big thanks... and I'll sure be back the next time we're in L.A."
