October 8, 2019

SONS OF CHIPOTLE, the new musical project featuring LED ZEPPELIN bass legend John Paul Jones, will make its North American live debut at next year's edition of the Big Ears Festival, set to take place March 26-29, 2020 in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Tickets for Big Ears will be available beginning Thursday, October 10 at 12:00 p.m. EST.

SONS OF CHIPOTLE covers an uncommonly vast area of the musical map, and both John Paul Jones and Anssi Karttunen are thrilled to be making their North American debut performance at Big Ears.

It is incredibly rare to find two of the finest musicians in the world performing in such an intimate setting for what will be a series of remarkable concerts. Both musicians are known to be curious minds, always ready to learn and to discover. When they improvise, borders disappear, they are free to migrate beyond prejudices, across continents. In a world where walls are being built and people are told where they cannot go, SONS OF CHIPOTLE wants music to be a place of openness.

SONS OF CHIPOTLE made its live debut in Japan in early September.

Prior to the group's launch, Jones had been largely inactive in terms of live appearances, with the exception of an experimental show with Thurston Moore of SONIC YOUTH earlier this year.
