SONY COMPUTER ENTERTAINMENT To Sponsor OZZFEST For Fourth Year

July 7, 2004

Sony Computer Entertainment America will reunite with the long-running summer festival Ozzfest as a sponsor for a fourth year. As a veteran sponsor, Sony Computer Entertainment America is giving fans the chance to win tickets to witness the historic BLACK SABBATH and JUDAS PRIEST reunions along with the music of SLAYER, SLIPKNOT, HATEBREED, and Zakk Wylde's BLACK LABEL SOCIETY. The 26-stop, Clear Channel-promoted trek kicks-off on July 10 in Hartford, Conn. and concludes on September 4 in West Palm Beach, Fla.

"Ozzfest and Sony Computer Entertainment America are both known for their relentless commitment to their fans," said Sharon Shapiro, director, promotions, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "It's only natural to give our hard core fans the incredible combination of the best in rock and metal music, and videogame entertainment."

As sponsor, Sony Computer Entertainment America will feature a radio promotion in 20 markets on the tour schedule. Ten winners in each market will receive a PlayStation® prize pack including a PlayStation®2 / Ozzfest tour jacket, a copy of Syphon Filter®: The Omega Strain and SIREN, and a pair of tickets to Ozzfest where winners will be able to watch the second stage from the PlayStation 2 Metal Sanctuary, a VIP viewing area. One of these 10 lucky winners will win a PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system autographed by Ozzy Osbourne himself.

In addition to giving fans the chance to experience Ozzfest 2004, Sony Computer Entertainment America will also provide on-site entertainment once they are there. The festival's renowned Village of the Damned is a headbanger's paradise and PlayStation 2 is in the center of the oasis. Ozzfest fans can look for the PlayStation 2 Touring Attraction, 68-foot custom-designed vehicle that will make stops at most of the venues, giving fans a chance to play some of the hottest PlayStation 2 titles while listening to non-stop metal music. Sony Computer Entertainment America will feature exciting and upcoming titles that are sure to please Ozzfest fans such as God of War(TM), The Getaway: Black Monday, SIREN, Ratchet and Clank®: Up Your Arsenal, and Syphon Filter®: The Omega Strain. Haunting images from the survival horror game SIREN will be featured throughout the PlayStation 2 area, and for smaller venues that cannot accommodate the PlayStation 2 Touring Attraction, a large tent featuring 10 kiosks will be at the Village of the Damned to entertain the masses.

PlayStation® will fly a lucky winner and a friend to Chicago for the weekend to check out Ozzfest on August 21, 2004. If that isn't enough, the winner will also receive a PlayStation 2, the latest software titles, and passes to the PlayStation 2 Metal Sanctuary with a bat's-eye-view of HATEBREED, SLIPKNOT and the other second stage bands. To enter, fill out the entry form in the promotions section at www.us.playstation.com.
