SOREPTION: Performance Clip Posted Online

June 10, 2008

Swedish technical death metallers SOREPTION have posted a performance clip of the song "2", taken from the band's debut MCD/DVD release, "Illuminate the Excessive", due on June 23 via Cube 1 Records. Watch the video below.

"Illuminate the Excessive" was recorded, mixed and produced at Sidelake Studios by Tommy and Chris Rehn from ANGTORIA. The CD also features artwork by Chris Rehn.

As previously reported, SOREPTION has completed the songwriting process for its full-length debut. The band is scheduled to enter the studio in August to begin recording the effort for a late 2008/early 2009 release.

Formed in 2005, SOREPTION specializes in "technically and artistically advanced riffs topped with in-your-face brutal vocals," according to a press release. "These twenty-year old guys perform their songs quickly, brutally and highly technical with musicality and finesse. A very unusual combination especially for a band as young as SOREPTION."
