SOULFLY Guitarist RIZZO Schedules CD-Release Party

July 24, 2007

SOULFLY guitarist Marc Rizzo has scheduled a record-release party for his new album, "The Ultimate Devotion", on July 31 at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, California. All MI students are welcome, plus Rizzo's publicist be giving away 75 pairs of free tickets to the public.

To win a pair of free tickets, just write to [email protected]. Write "G.I.T. Tickets" as the subject of your e-mail. Please include your full name and city where you live in the e-mail. The first 75 people who respond will be added to the guest list and will be provided with directions, show time, and other details. Winners will be required to show picture I.D. to match the name on the guest list. So don't request tickets unless you are coming!

If you live outside the Los Angeles area, please don't request tickets unless you are really going to travel for the gig.

Rizzo's first album, "Colossal Myopia", was a surprise to many people, even some of his most devoted fans. For the first time ever, Marc stepped out from behind a vocalist to reveal his deep musical roots which span a wide range of styles, from classical and flamenco to shred and thrash.

After nearly three years of touring throughout the East Coast and then across the entire U.S. doing small club shows with his band, promoting his unique mind bending style and improving his chops, Rizzo went back into the studio to record the follow-up to his solo debut. "The Ultimate Devotion" will be available on July 31.

Marc is currently in California with the Dirty Icon production team recording for his newly announced project with the Cavalera brothers (Max and Igor) and Joe Duplantier (GOJIRA).
