SOULFLY Set Tentative Release Date For Third Album

January 24, 2002

SOULFLY have set a tentative release date of May 20th (Europe) and May 21st (US) for their as-yet-untitled third full-length effort, which was recently produced by mainman Max Cavalera and engineered by Otto D'Agnolo at Phoenix's (Brill Street) Chaton Studios. At this time, no decision has yet been made with regards to the identity of the person that will mix the album, but it is expected that work on the CD will proceed concurrently with the group's upcoming US tour with STATIC-X and SOIL, which is scheduled to begin on January 30th in Portland, Oregon. Among the known song titles that are set to appear on the forthcoming album are the following:

01. Downstroy
02. Enterfaith
03. Seek 'N' Strike
04. Last of The Mohicans
05. Brazil
06. Soulfly III
07. Sangue De Bairro (CHICO SCIENCE cover)

As previously reported, SOULFLY have recorded several B-sides during the sessions, including a cover of PAILHEAD's "I Will Refuse" and SACRED REICH's "One Nation" (featuring guest appearances by original SACRED REICH drummer Greg Hall and guitarist Wiley Arnett).
