South Dakota Governor Salutes KISS
August 5, 2008KISS' official web site has been updated with the following message:
"Thanks to South Dakota governor Mike Rounds for making an unscheduled visit to see the band yesterday. The governor, who earlier honored KISS by declaring Monday as KISS Rock 'n Roll Day in South Dakota, wanted to personally thank the band for their support of the United States military! He later joined Sturgis Mayor Maury Larue live on stage to present the proclamation to the band in Sturgis last night!"

KISS has scheduled several more U.S. performances in August. In honor of its 35th anniversary, the quartet will perform the "Kiss Alive!" album in its entirety, as well as some rarely played classics, according to a press release.
