August 14, 2006

Progressive metal band SPEAKING TO STONES has signed a deal with Lion Music for the release of its debut album, tentatively due this November. Four songs from the CD can be previewed at this location.

SPEAKING TO STONES is the brainchild of Tony Vinci, an acclaimed musician and composer who specializes in guitar-based progressive rock/metal. Since the age of fourteen, he has been writing, recording, and performing music in his home in upstate New York. His bands ELEVENTH HOUR and IMAGES AND WORDS (a tribute to DREAM THEATER) have toured the East Coast and contributed to the international release "Voices: A Tribute to Dream Theater", released by Italy's Adrenaline Records. In addition to writing, recording, and performing his music, Tony is a professor of writing and literature at Monroe Community College, a novelist, and a scholar in the fields of literature, cinema, and popular culture.
