SPIRALARMS 'Knocks Out' Two More Songs
February 16, 2007SPIRALARMS drummer Chris Kontos (ex-MACHINE HEAD, TESTAMENT) has posted the following message on the band's MySpace page:
"I thought you would like to know that we went in and knocked out two more songs this week. It went so well!!!! We went out to Brad's [Barth, keyboards] place out in Livermore, Audio Voyage, and just put down damn magic on two-inch tape!!! One song is brand new to us. I can tell you what it sounds like... I don't really know what to call it at all. It starts with a cool guitar riff, and then into this really strong tribal drum beat over a new guitar riff that is the sickest, heaviest, gut punching, dark thing EVER! Tim [Narducci, guitar/vocals; ex-SYSTEMATIC] sings it with so much pain in his voice it is really trippy. Then it runs in to a really fun Ian Paice pop beat, with this lovely sing along riff that Craig [Locicero, guitar; ex-FORBIDDEN, MANMADEGOD] sings that takes you right to the mountain top and drops you off the edge.....But you don't fall, you just float away.....then back to the flight of the bomber elephants with wings dropping upset badgers in to the tea party RIFF! It has a killer guitar solo from Craig, and ends with a sweet lullaby riff that would put ANY baby right to sleep. This is the biggest swing from soft to heavy I have ever been a part of in me life!!!!! The other song is 'Windows Pain' some of you might know this one to be the band most dramatic song we play live. Flat out I think it is our 'Kashmir'. I have been waiting to record this song for months. This is just a demo, but it comes off like the real thing, trust me."
SPIRALARMS features in its ranks Locicero, Narducci, Kontos , Chris Lombardo on bass and Barth. The band recently uploaded three new songs to its MySpace page.
