SPIRITUAL BEGGARS: Percussion Extravaganza

August 30, 2004

SPIRITUAL BEGGARS drummer Ludwig Witt has posted the following message on the band's official web site:

"Hi there everybody. We continue to work on the new album. The other day we went back to the school where I first started playing the drums back in 1982 (!). Using some mobile recording equipment, we recorded timpani, a 38" gong and concert cymbals — we had a lot of fun as you can see in the pictures. This stuff is mainly going on what is to be an intro piece on the album — so don't worry — we're not going to turn symphonic rock on you just yet. I have to agree with [guitarist] Mike and [vocalist] JB when they say that the new songs sound good. It's heavy BEGGARS-style Rock (yeah, that's with a capitol R!!!!)." Pictures from Ludwig's "percussion extravaganza" can be viewed at this location.

SPIRITUAL BEGGARS' recording lineup for the new album consists of the following: Janne "JB" Christoffersson (vocals, GRAND MAGUS),Michael Amott (guitar, ARCH ENEMY),Sharlee D'Angelo (bass, ARCH ENEMY),Per Wiberg (keyboards) and Ludwig Witt (drums).
