SPIRITUAL BEGGARS To Release Live DVD And CD

June 4, 2003

Swedish hard rockers SPIRITUAL BEGGARS, the band featuring former CARCASS and current ARCH ENEMY axeman Mike Amott, have recorded material on their recent "Monstergroove 2003" European tour for an upcoming live DVD and CD. "The DVD and CD will be from two separate shows, so there's quite a lot of work to be done with mixing and mastering etc. etc.," reads a message on the band's official web site. "The mixing will possibly be done by Andy Sneap (who mixed three songs on the current 'On Fire' album)."

As far a new studio album goes, guitarist Michael Amott says "That's nothing we can talk about right now…it's too early to say. I have enjoyed working with JB [a.k.a. GRAND MAGUS frontman Janne Christoffersson] on vocals very much and we might do this again sometime." He also adds, "That's not to say that I don't have new musical ideas. There's a tape of about 5-6 song ideas that I have jammed with [drummer] Ludwig Witt – it's very solid riffs and grooves."
