ST. MADNESS, ON PAROLE Featured On 'Under The Radar: Volume I' Compilation
January 31, 2006Antidote Records, the label responsible for spawning a horror-rock avalanche in 2003 which continues to devastate the underground music scene today, have announced the upcoming release of a new compilation CD. Entitled "Under the Radar: Volume I", this disc marks a brave step forward for the label, which seems to have expanded its musical scope above and beyond all things horror.
This disc features bands from across the globe and styles ranging from bluesy, folky numbers to all out bombastic blasts of pure punk power ...and everything in between. The international roster is as wide and varied musically as they are geographically. The AC/DC-meets-MOTÖRHEAD boogie metal of Sweden's ON PAROLE; the '80s-influenced hardcore punk of Italy's THE NERDS; the industrial tinged intensity of Germany's SISKO; and the all-out metal assault of Arizona's own ST. MADNESS, whom you might remember had a hit a few years back with their song "Sexual Abuse", which was also covered by GUTTERMOUTH on the recent "Punk Goes Metal" compilation. Other bands on the compilation include THE UNSATISFIED, DARK HUMOR, SLEEZUS FIST & THE LATTER DAY TAINTS, TERRY RICE & THE HONKY PUNKS, THE HORRIFICS, RHOADES D'ABLO & THE DEVIL'S RIGHT HAND (ex-guitarist of Sean Yseult's [WHITE ZOMBIE] ROCK CITY MORGUE),CRANK COUNTY DAREDEVILS, GUTHOOK, GUILD NAVIGATORS, TEARS FOR THE DYING, HALLOWMAS, SPECTREMEN, SECRET CERVIX, WOLF KING, CRYBABY BRIDGE, and SKELETEEN.
The official release date for "Under the Radar: Volume I" is February 14 (Valentine's Day) and pre-orders will be accepted shortly as well. More information is available at www.antidoterecords.net.
