STAIND Doing Headlining Shows In August

July 7, 2008

According to The Pulse of Radio, STAIND has added a stretch of headlining dates to its summer schedule in between legs of its tour with 3 DOORS DOWN. The new shows begin on August 5 in Casper, Wyoming and finish up on August 17 in Nashville. STAIND plays in Bonner Springs, Kansas on Tuesday (July 8) before starting its first batch of gigs with 3 DOORS DOWN on Wednesday (July 9) in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The group is promoting the arrival of its sixth studio album, "The Illusion of Progress", which is due out on August 19.

The new disc's first single, "Believe", was the most added track at rock radio stations last week.

Vocalist Aaron Lewis told MTV.com last week that STAIND has taken an experimental approach to the CD, saying it contains "a lot of things that have never really been done on a STAIND record before."

STAIND will rejoin 3 DOORS DOWN's tour in late August following its headlining jaunt.

Newly confirmed STAIND tour dates:

Aug. 05 - Casper, WY - Casper Events Center
Aug. 07 - Sioux Falls, SD - Sioux Empire Fair
Aug. 08 - Sturgis, SD - The Legendary Buffalo Chip
Aug. 10 - Lubbock, TX - Lonestar Amphitheater
Aug. 12 - Corpus Christi, TX - Concrete Street Amphitheatre
