STAIND Guitarist Praises STATIC-X, LO-PRO

July 21, 2003

STAIND guitarist/songwriter Mike Mushok, currently on tour in support of the group's "14 Shades Of Grey" CD, is full of praise for STAIND's opening acts STATIC-X and LO-PRO.

Writing in his online journal at Staind.com, Mike says, "if anyone is coming to see us, I suggest you get there early to check [out LO-PRO and STATIC-X]. LO-PRO is the band that [STAIND frontman] Aaron [Lewis] signed to his label 413 (four-one-three) Records and they rule!!! They're an awesome band and if you don't know the history, it started with Pete (vox) and Neil (guitar) from ULTRASPANK, Tommy (drums) from GODSMACK, Jon (bass) from SNOT and AMEN and Pete Ricci (guitar),my guitar tech for like 8 years. It's really weird to see Pete on stage playing. It's cool for me to be able to hand him a guitar for a change. Seriously, get there early to check them out, you won't be disappointed! [Their] record comes out towards the end of the summer, we'll let you know the exact date here.

"STATIC-X is also tearing it up. They're playing the best of [their] old stuff along with some really great new tunes. I got to hear [their] new record and they did a great job on it so keep an eye out for that also. Once they're done touring with us both STATIC-X and LO-PRO continue on together so try and check them out then if you get a chance."
