STAIND: Right Hear?
June 14, 2006MJI Interactive is reporting that STAIND rocked a career-high crowd of 327,000 when they performed before the start of the Indianapolis 500 on Memorial Day. The sizable audience undoubtedly created plenty of noise, but that apparently was nothing compared to the racket the cars generated. "It was so loud, it was unbelievable," guitarist Mike Mushok says. "My ears haven't rang in years, but when I left that place they were ringing."

Released in August 2005, "Chapter V", the fifth album from STAIND, debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200, marking the band's third consecutive chart-topper. The album — produced by David Bottrill (TOOL, GODSMACK) — follows 2003's critically acclaimed "14 Shades of Grey" and 2001's quintuple platinum "Break the Cycle", both of which also entered The Billboard 200 in the No. 1 spot.
