STAIND Singer Maps Out Solo Acoustic Gigs

December 14, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: STAIND lead singer Aaron Lewis will perform a string of solo acoustic shows once the band finishes up its Fall Brawl tour this month. Lewis will play at selected casinos around the country, as he did in early 2004, with ten gigs mapped out so far. All but one of the dates are at casinos, including a five-night stand at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun. Lewis told Launch why playing casinos makes sense for him. "It makes it so that I can play a small number of shows and still make a little bit of money too," he said. "I can keep the number of shows way down because the casinos tend to be able to pay more money, so it kinds of keeps it as a more special type of deal. You know, I'm popping out for a weekend or two here or there."

STAIND is out on the Fall Brawl tour with P.O.D., TAPROOT and FLYLEAF. The bands play tonight (Wednesday, December 14) in Sayreville, New Jersey and Friday (December 16) in New York City before wrapping up on Saturday (December 17) in Elmira, New York. The latest single from STAIND's recently released "Chapter V" album is called "Falling".
