STARWOOD Hard At Work On Sophomore Album
October 10, 2005Los Angeles-based rock outfit STARWOOD, featuring members of the Eighties heavy metal band LIZZY BORDEN, have scheduled several shows in Japan, including a November 1 party in Tokyo for the hair product Manic Panic. Exact cities and venues will be announced soon.
In other news, STARWOOD are in pre-production for the follow up to their debut album, "If It Ain't Broke, Break It!", which was released in July 2004 through Metal Blade Records. The band will start recording when they return from Japan with a release tentatively planned for sometime in early 2006.
Commented the group's frontman, Lizzy: "We've been barricaded in our studio in Hollywood, California working on new songs for the next STARWOOD record. We've got twenty songs so far and each one is over-the top amazing! Making this record is a lot different then the last one, we are really coming together as a band, arranging and re-arranging songs to fit all four of our different personalities. The songs are still coming in fast a furious so we're holding off on pushing the red button until we hit at least twenty-five songs, then the real problem will come when we have to decide on which ten will make the record. I'm confident we will be finished by the end of the year with a release date early 2006."
