STATUS QUO's FRANCIS ROSSI Joins PLANET ROCK

February 25, 2011

Francis Rossi, known for fronting the multi-million album selling band STATUS QUO, is joining award-winning U.K. radio station Planet Rock for a series of exclusive radio shows. Each week Francis will be playing the music that has inspired him over the years, with stories from four decades as one rock's true originals!

"Over the years I've been in hundreds of radio stations but nobody has ever asked me to have a go myself. This time the only person cracking terrible jokes and missing their cues will be me," said Francis Rossi.

"Planet Rock has always brought rock's greatest artists to the airwaves, giving a rock star's perspective to life on the road, in the studio and to hear stories never heard on radio before. Francis has something to say about everyone and everything, the trouble is stopping him…. and his choice of music makes the show a must listen," said Trevor White, Planet Rock program director.

The series will run on Planet Rock on Sunday evenings from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. beginning on March 6.

Planet Rock broadcasts on digital radio, Sky 0110, Virgin Media 924, Freesat 730, online www.planetrock.com and on iPhone.
