STEVE VAI Teams Up With VERNON NEILLY For Guitar Merchandise Giveaway

October 19, 2005

Launch Radio Networks reports: Rock guitarist Steve Vai and smooth jazz/blues guitarist Vernon Neilly and the record companies they founded, Vai's Favored Nations and Neilly's Boosweet Records, have teamed with online marketing company On Target Media Group to put together a giveaway contest called Six-String Extravaganza.

The on-going promotion allows music fans a chance to win music-related prizes, including guitars, guitar pickups, effects pedals, guitar strings, CDs, T-shirts, hats, magazine subscriptions, and many other items. Fans can register for the giveaway at OnTargetMediaGroup.com.

Steve Vai is considered to be one of the most innovative guitarists of the rock era, and has performed with FRANK ZAPPA, DAVID LEE ROTH, WHITESNAKE, ALCATRAZZ, and others. He established the independent Favored Nations Records label to give very talented, passionate musicians an outlet for their musical projects. His most recent release is this year's "Real Illusions: Reflections".

Vernon Neilly is also a versatile veteran guitarist who has worked with the JOHNNY GUITAR WATSON, ETTA JAMES, TEENA MARIE, BILLY PAUL, GEORGE CLINTON, HOWARD HEWETT, and others. With a very similar vision and mission in mind, Neilly formed the independent label Boosweet Records. Neilly is the leader of G-FIRE, which released 2003's "G-Fire" and 2004's "G-Fire II".
