STONE SOUR And ZIPPO ENCORE Announce Tour Partnership
February 8, 2018
Zippo Encore has announced a global partnership with three-time-Grammy nominated rock band STONE SOUR. The group is touring in support of its recent album "Hydrograd". The partnership follows Zippo's support of KORN and STONE SOUR's "The Serenity Of Summer" tour in 2017.
At each stop on the tour, Zippo Encore's pop-up retail shop will feature limited edition custom Zippo lighters designed by members of STONE SOUR as part of the Zippo Encore Artist Custom Series Program. The Zippo prize wheel will also be on site, giving fans the opportunity to win various prizes, including autographed merchandise and the chance to watch part of the band's performance from the press pit.
Throughout the entirety of the tour, members of STONE SOUR will be sharing exciting content across their social media channels. From exclusive interviews to behind-the-scenes access, fans should be sure to follow along on the band's Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay up-to-date on the latest happenings. Additionally, STONE SOUR will be performing some private acoustic sessions throughout the year — details regarding those performances will be announced at a later date.
"Zippo has been a continued supporter of not only our band, but the rock music world in general, and we couldn't be happier to have them along for the ride this year," said Corey Taylor, lead singer, STONE SOUR. "There's nothing that says rock 'n' roll like seeing a Zippo lighter held high in the crowd during one of our concerts. We're excited to create some of those iconic Encore moments in 2018."
"Zippo Encore is all about bringing fans closer than ever to their favorite bands, so we're thrilled to rock out with STONE SOUR for their highly anticipated tour," said Lucas Johnson, global brand manager, Zippo. "In six years, we've connected with nearly five million live music lovers at festivals and tours all over the world, bringing them one-of-a-kind experiences and access to their favorite bands. We're looking forward to seeing both new and familiar faces as we hit the road in 2018."
Zippo Encore will once again be providing music lovers with unique experiences and behind-the-scenes access at some of the top festival across the globe.
