STONE SOUR Frontman Recalls First-Ever Visit To Russia
June 26, 2007Launch Radio Networks reports: STONE SOUR releases a deluxe edition of its second album, "Come What(ever) May", on Tuesday (June 26). The new package features all the videos from the album, six previously unreleased tracks, including a cover of CHRIS ISAAK's "Wicked Game", and a bonus DVD featuring an entire concert filmed in Moscow in late 2006. STONE SOUR vocalist Corey Taylor told Launch that the band's first visit to Russia was a memorable one. "The show was incredible," he said. "It was very cold. Women, beautiful. Amazing. They treated us like kings. I mean, it was crazy! We'd never been there before. I'd never been there with, you know, SLIPKNOT or STONE SOUR, so it was like a big first for us. We headlined this award show and 8,000 kids, kind of off of us alone. I mean, it was insane! Great show, though."
STONE SOUR will begin a new round of U.S. tour dates on August 3 in Fargo, North Dakota, finishing up on September 2 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The band closes out a European tour on Thursday (June 28) in Lisbon, Portugal.
Meanwhile, it's recently been rumored that Taylor will sing on the next album from speed metal veterans ANTHRAX. Taylor confirmed that he had written several songs with the band, but would not say for certain that he would handle lead vocals for the group.
