STONE SOUR Getting Strong Response On FAMILY VALUES Tour
August 31, 2006Launch Radio Networks reports: STONE SOUR's current stint on the Family Values tour marks the band's first live performances since 2003. But even though the group has been away for three years, singer Corey Taylor told Launch that the response on the road and to the band's new record has been great. "It's been great, it's been really good," he said. "I think it helps that the album's really good, you know, so, like, everybody's just really happy, really cheesed about the album, and that makes us, you know, feel really good, so we just, you know, we get into it. And every time we walk out, man, there's a huge response and it's like, 'Wow.'Every city. It's like, 'Whoa, look at this, this is insane.'"
STONE SOUR is touring in support of its second album, "Come What(ever) May", which has sold 171,000 copies since its release four weeks ago. The album follows up STONE SOUR's 2002 self-titled debut, which featured the hit "Bother".
After finishing Family Values, STONE SOUR will head overseas in October, including the band's first-ever performance in Russia.
STONE SOUR is slated to join DISTURBED and FLYLEAF on this fall's Music As A Weapon tour, which will begin sometime in November.
The Family Values tour pulls into Holmdel, New Jersey tomorrow (Friday, September 1).
