STONE SOUR, TRIVIUM: Entire DOWNLOAD Festival Performances Available For Viewing
October 12, 2006Professionally shot video footage of STONE SOUR and TRIVIUM's entire performances from this year's Download festival, which took place early June at Donington Park, Leicestershire, England, has been posted online at DownloadFestival.tv.
Next up for STONE SOUR, they'll embark on the "Music As A Weapon Tour" with DISTURBED in November. Meanwhile, the band's debut single, "Through Glass", has been #1 at Mainstream and Active Rock for five weeks, marking the first #1 single in the band's career. The song is also #4 on Billboard's Modern Rock tracks chart and the video can be seen on MTV2.
STONE SOUR is touring in support of its second album "Come What(Ever) May", which entered the Billboard album chart at #4. As the follow-up to their four-year-old debut album — which was twice Grammy-nominated, certified gold and contained the huge rock hit "Bother" — "Come What(ever) May" is filled with volatile songs that mix heaviness with sharp hooks. The songs question the motives of false prophets (the title cut),tear apart hypocrisy ("Silly World"),examine hollow celebrity culture ("Through Glass") and smash complacency ("30/30-150", "Hell & Consequences").
TRIVIUM's new album, "The Crusade", was released on Tuesday (October 10) via Roadrunner Records (one day earlier internationally). The follow-up to 2005's "Ascendancy" was recorded at Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, FL, just outside of Orlando. Once again produced by TRIVIUM and Jason Suecof, the CD is "a dazzling explosion of tight, intricate and instantly memorable songs that feature awe-inspiring musicianship from all four members of the band," according to a press release. An e-card for "The Crusade" can be accessed at this location.
As previously reported, TRIVIUM's video for the song "Anthem (We Are The Fire)" has been posted online at this location. The clip was shot on August 11 in Agoura Hills, California and features the band and its loyal fans crashing and taking over "a lame house party...bringing their huge metal show (complete with pyro, flaming swimming pool, and fire cannons) and showing the world how they ROCK."
