STONER KINGS Sign With Massacre Records, Prepare To Repackage, Reissue "Brimstone Blues"
May 12, 2002Finland's STONER KINGS have inked a deal with Germany's Massacre Records and will issue a repackaged version of their self-released LP opus, entitled Brimstone Blues, through the label in June.
"We are ecstatic about the possibilities with Massacre," stated STONER KINGS Canadian leader/vocalist Starbuck. "They are a fantastic label with an extensive and influential history in the heavy music market, and we represent their first signing of what we regard as the stoner rock genre. This is truly the beginning of a new era and we can't wait to unleash the chaos along with Massacre!"
The release of Brimstone Blues, which was originally issued in a limited-edition run via the band's own Rebel Breed Recordings label at the beginning of 2002, will be preceded by a tour of Central Europe in May/June. States Starbuck, "This tour will lay the groundwork for the Massacre release, and I can guarantee that the clubs we're playing in Belgium, Austria and Germany won't be the same after we've brought the Brimstone Blues flavor of all that's heavy down on them!"
