STRAIGHT LINE STITCH Frontwoman Interviewed On 'The House Of Zazz' (Audio)

On May 3, 2012, Alexis Brown of the Knoxville, Tennessee-based female-fronted metal/hardcore act STRAIGHT LINE STITCH sat down with Sam Hatch of WWUH Radio's "The House Of Zazz", and chatted about the new lineup, the current tour, progress on a potential new album, her lyric-writing process, love of vintage Harlequin romance novels, and the craziest stuff she's ever seen in a STRAIGHT LINE STITCH pit.

"The House Of Zazz" airs Tuesday nights from midnight to 3:00 a.m. on 91.3 FM in Hartford, Connecticut, and is webcast live on www.wwuh.org.

STRAIGHT LINE STITCH kicked off a U.S. tour on April 24 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The band is being joined on the road by former STRAIGHT LINE STITCH and DARKEST HOUR guitarist Kris Norris, back with the group for two months of shredding alongside Kris Hawkins.

STRAIGHT LINE STITCH recently re-emerged as free agents looking for a new label home. "I think, as a band, we are looking forward mostly to just getting back to basics, and at the very heart of that is hitting the road and letting everyone know that STRAIGHT LINE STITCH is still going strong," states Alexis Brown. "There are some new faces in the mix but the feeling and the essence of the band is still the same, which is to go out and give it all we've got."

STRAIGHT LINE STITCH has been writing material for its third album, which it hopes to be in the studio recording by the end of the year.

STRAIGHT LINE STITCH's sophomore album, "The Fight Of Our Lives", sold around 2,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release. The CD landed at position No. 5 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.

The follow-up to 2008's "When Skies Wash Ashore", "The Fight Of Our Lives" was produced and mixed by the Grammy Award-nominated producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, SEVENDUST). Additional work on the album was done by Ben Schigel.
