STRAIGHT LINE STITCH: Hometown Gig Postponed

December 14, 2007

Knoxville, Tennessee-based female-fronted metal/hardcore act STRAIGHT LINE STITCH has postponed its previously announced December 21, 2007 concert at Blue Cats in the group's hometown.

"As many of you know, we are currently recording our new debut record for Koch Records. As of right now all the music is completed but with the alloted time between now and the 21st there is no possible way for Alexis [Brown, vocals] to complete here vocal session and return to Knoxville in enough time to perform, " the band writes. We want this record to be the absolute best it can be and in order for that to happen, Alexis is going to need about two more weeks to do her part."

STRAIGHT LINE STITCH recently released the video for its song "Remission". The clip was helmed by acclaimed video director Dale "Rage" Resteghini (SHADOWS FALL, FEAR FACTORY, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN) in Atlanta and is described as "top quality, filmed on 'Super 35' film," according to the band's co-manager Charlie Moore. "That, combined with the best director of photography and the best editor in the business, this video is sure to impress."

Watch the "Remission" video below.

STRAIGHT LINE STITCH is signed to Koch Records under the newly created Raging Nation Records imprint. The group is recording its full-length debut at Millbrook Sound Studios in Millbrook, New York with producer Rob Caggiano (ANTHRAX, CRADLE OF FILTH, 36 CRAZYFISTS).

The band has previously opened for the likes of KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SLAYER, MASTODON and many more. STRAIGHT LINE STITCH also opened dates on the Jägermeister and Vans Warped tours.

Regarding the formation of the Raging Nation imprint, Koch senior vice president of marketing John Franck comments, "Having worked closely with Dale 'Rage' Resteghini on numerous hit videos and seeing his ability to identify trends (both rock and urban),it was a natural step for us to create a Raging Nation Records imprint. In addition to bringing new acts to the table, Raging Nation will serve as a creative hub under which we'll funnel any and all visuals pertaining to the music acts that Dale helps bring in — STRAIGHT LINE STITCH is the perfect band to get it started with. Raging Nation will be responsible for the creation/execution of all visual aspects of the STRAIGHT LINE STITCH project, including photo shoots, videos, exclusive mobile/digital content, TV commercials, web design etc. This set-up creates an opportunity for STRAIGHT LINE STITCH and Raging Nation to exercise a much larger degree of control over imaging/aesthetic while at the same time, giving Koch Records the tools it needs to market the band. We're looking forward to getting started."

STRAIGHT LINE STITCH is:

Alexis Brown - Vocals
Seth Thacker - Guitar
Patrick Haynes - Drums
Jason White - Bass
Pat Pattison - Guitar
