STRAIGHT LINE STITCH: New Drummer Announced

July 8, 2009

Knoxville, Tennessee-based female-fronted metal/hardcore act STRAIGHT LINE STITCH has announced the addition of drummer Kanky Lora to the group's ranks. The band says, "[Kanky] is from the Dominican Republic and he is a monster behind the kit. Some of you may already know him from his prior drumming duties with Marc Rizzo (guitarist for SOULFLY). We are extremely pleased and honored to have him in this band as a permanent member. We have already started writing songs with him and the songs we have be jamming are coming along very well."

HATEBREED frontman Jamey Jasta will join STRAIGHT LINE STITCH on stage on Thursday, August 27 at the Cider House in Knoxville to perform the song "Taste Of Ashes" from SLS's 2008 album, "When Skies Wash Ashore". Famed music video director Dale "Rage" Resteghini will be on hand to film the performance for an upcoming video for MTV2's "Headbangers Ball".

"When Skies Wash Ashore" was released last August via E1 Music (formerly Koch Records) under the newly created Raging Nation Records imprint. The CD was recorded at Millbrook Sound Studios in Millbrook, New York with producer Rob Caggiano (ANTHRAX, CRADLE OF FILTH, 36 CRAZYFISTS).
