STRAIGHT LINE STITCH: New Song Available For Streaming
January 23, 2011Knoxville, Tennessee-based female-fronted metal/hardcore act STRAIGHT LINE STITCH has completed work on its new studio album, "The Fight Of Our Lives", for a March 22 release via eOne Music. The follow-up to 2008's "When Skies Wash Ashore" was produced and mixed by the Grammy Award-nominated producer Johnny K (DISTURBED, MACHINE HEAD, SEVENDUST) and is set to include eleven new songs. Additional work on the album was done by Ben Schigel.
Commented STRAIGHT LINE STITCH frontwoman Alexis Brown: "The only thing that comes to mind when I think of our new record is excitement! As a band, we've have grown leaps and bounds in comparison to our last release."
The first single from the forthcoming album, "Conversion", is available for streaming using the audio player below (courtesy of AOL's Noisecreep).
Added Brown: "'Conversion' is one of my favorite songs on the record because it's about shedding old skin and becoming a whole another being. I'm really stoked that it's the first single off our new record."
STRAIGHT LINE STITCH will support TIMES OF GRACE — the new project that reteams KILLSWITCH ENGAGE guitarist and producer extraordinaire Adam Dutkiewicz with original KILLSWITCH ENGAGE vocalist Jesse Leach — in February. Additional support on the trek will come from WAR OF AGES.
STRAIGHT LINE STITCH's debut album, "When Skies Wash Ashore", was released in August 2008 via E1 Music (formerly Koch Records) under the newly created Raging Nation Records imprint. The CD was recorded at Millbrook Sound Studios in Millbrook, New York with producer Rob Caggiano (ANTHRAX, CRADLE OF FILTH, 36 CRAZYFISTS).
