STRATOVARIUS Confirmed For Finland's ANKKAROCK Festival

Finnish neo-classical metallers STRATOVARIUS have been added to the Ankkarock festival on August 1 just outside Helsinki. Also scheduled to perform at the festival are BACKYARD BABIES, DANKO JONES, THE 69 EYES, NEGATIVE, THE RASMUS and THE DARKNESS, among many others. For more information, visit

In other news, the Czech UEFA2004 soccer team are reportedly using STRATOVARIUS' music in their dressing room before games to get in the winning mood. The songs "Glory Of The World" and "Why Are We Here" are two of the tracks they are regularly playing in the dressing room, according to official information from CTK (the Czech Press Office). So far they have won every UEFA 2004 game using this method, and almost 22 games in a row. A Czech newspaper article headlined "Czech football players are driven to victories by Finnish rockers" can be viewed at this location.
