STRONG INTENTION Is Back

April 9, 2007

Maryland grindcore merchants STRONG INTENTION have issued the following update:

"First off, let me apologize for the lack of updates, it certainly was not intentional. Thanx to everyone who has stayed in touch with us over the past year.

"So... where to begin. May 2006 we did one of our best tours ever with MISERY INDEX, DISFEAR, PHOBIA. For us it was 20 shows of pure thrash and grind. Great shows, great friends, definitely one of the best tours ever for us.

"After the tour ended, we went in the studio with Steve Austin to record the long awaited follow up to 'Extermination Vision', which was to be released on Goodfellow Records in the fall of 2006. We spent a very cool week up there in Massachusetts with Steve and when we left, all the music was done, we just were going to finish the vocals up in D.C. and then off to Scott Hull for mix/master.

"Fast forward 2 months and our label, Goodfellow, had not paid Steve in full, so we had no masters at this point. So its now late August and we are just in limbo waiting to get the masters. Goodfellow then emails us to tell us that Steve has been paid in full and will be sending us the masters, but they will not release the new record. No clear explanation has ever been given by the label why this was done, just a lot of excuses. At the same time, Goodfellow did pay for the record and had paid for about 100 shirts to get printed so they did us right on that end.

"November 2006 we got the masters from Steve, and now it's April 2007 and we are ready to finish the record and have it released on a new label. The label situation is not 100% resolved yet, but we hope to make an announcement very soon and expect the record to come out this fall. It will be 18 new songs, the name of the record is 'Freedom Is Slavery'.

"Before the new record comes out, we will be doing our first tour of 2007 with U.K. grind/crust legends EXTREME NOISE TERROR. Our good friends in PHOBIA will once again join us, along with long-running Boston punks TOXIC NARCOTIC. This will be an awesome tour, with another killer lineup and we expect all of the shows to be packed. TN has a side band MOUTH SEWN SHUT and they will be doing some dates as well. The dates are in the tour section, so go see when this amazing tour will hit your town."

STRONG INTENTION's new album will include such cuts as "Swing In the Wind", "Razor Blade Express", "Bloodocracy" and "Lose the Enablers".
