STRYPER: New Album To Feature Guest Appearance By BOSTON Guitarist

September 14, 2007

Reactivated Christian hard rockers STRYPER are in the studio working on a new album, due out in 2008. Says singer Michael Sweet: "We begin laying down vocal tracks over the next few weeks. We're finished with all the tracking, other than vocals. We start mixing in October. We're covering the song 'Peace of Mind' by BOSTON and Tom Scholz (BOSTON guitarist) is joining us to play guitar on that song. The whole record is sounding incredible!"

On a day off from recording recently, Michael and Oz (with family and friends) headed out to a local karaoke hot spot near the studio in Massachusetts. STRYPER's "To Hell with the Devil" happened to be one of the songs in the karaoke book so Michael and Oz sang it and gave the locals their very own private karaoke performance.

STRYPER will be touring Spain and Finland in November. Details are available at Stryper.com.

On Thursday, September 20, Michael Sweet and his wife Kyle will appear on TBN's "Praise the Lord", hosted by Matt and Laurie Crouch, to discuss all they have been through the past year since Kyle was diagnosed with cancer and her road of recovery. It's sure to be an insightful and uplifting show. Check local listings for air times.

STRYPER's latest CD, "Reborn", is available on Big3 Records. "Reborn" marks STRYPER's first complete studio release of original material in over a decade, since 1990's "Against the Law", and features 10 original tracks as well a new version of the previously released track "In God We Trust". The album was recorded in Massachussetts at Blue Jay Studio, Mixed Emotions, and singer Michael Sweet's home studio.

Original STRYPER members Michael Sweet (lead vocals, guitar),Oz Fox (lead guitar),and Robert Sweet (drums) are joined in the group's current incarnation by bassist Tracy Ferrie.
