STUCK MOJO To Enter Studio With Producer ANDY SNEAP In February

December 14, 2005

FOZZY/STUCK MOJO guitarist Rich Ward has posted a lengthy message on his official web site reflecting on the events of 2005 and offering an update on the STUCK MOJO "comeback" album, which the band are scheduled to begin recording in February 2006. An excerpt from the posting follows:

"As 2005 has proven itself to be the year of growth, so has our family grown and we have been blessed with a new family member. New drummer Eric Sanders, who came aboard right before the fall UK tour, has brought a new energy and a sense of camaraderie to both the music and to us a family. Those who have not seen Eric play yet are in for a treat. While we are on the subject of family, I would like to announce a family reunion of sorts. Just about a month ago we [FOZZY] tracked drums and bass for a JUDAS PRIEST tribute album with Andy Sneap at his 'compound' outside of Derby, England. Although we've talked about working together over the past couple of years, this was the first time since 2001 that Andy and I have actually worked in the studio together. During the long hours and weeks of recording MOJO's 'Rising' and 'Declaration of a Headhunter' albums, Andy and I became brothers. Since then our brotherhood has grown beyond music and I've been lucky to have Andy spend a few holidays with me in Atlanta as well as a memorable trip to the beaches of Florida. After that trip, I wheeled Andy onto his plane in a wheelchair and, when he got home, he spent four days in the hospital with sun poisoning. In the hopes of topping that adventure, in February of next year, Andy and I will enter the studio again to record the new STUCK MOJO record. 2006 will again be the year of Sneap and The Duke!

"In some pretty amazing news concerning THE DUKE and FOZZY, both projects have made the short lists for possible Grammy nominations! THE DUKE song 'Show You The Way' has made the short list for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance and FOZZY's 'All That Remains' has made the short list for Best Rock Album. The voting for nominations is done by The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, so voting is not open to the public which keeps this from being just a popularity contest. That being said, I've seen the list of artists that we are up against and they include some massive names (ROBERT PLANT, ERIC CLAPTON, BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN, etc.),so our chances of making the final 5 are slim to say the very, very least. Regardless, it's an amazing honor to have your name along side so many respected artists. Word!

"In a couple of days I leave for Florida where we will start a short run of FOZZY dates in the Southeast U.S. After that, I'm back in the studio to continue writing the new MOJO record. In response to all the great feedback that I have received from the Australia video, I've made a couple of new tour videos for your enjoyment. One of them features footage from the U.K. dates and the other is footage taken on the Canadian tour. You can find them on the Media page. Enjoy!"
