STYGIA: Album Title Announced

August 12, 2008

Boston, Massachusetts-based up-and-coming "shred" guitarist Todd Seitz has issued the following update on the recording sessions for the debut album from his STYGIA project:

"I'm about to get Mike Vescera a few tracks to start recording vocals. I've written rough melodies in which Mike will improve or fine tune what I've done. Mike LePond has also started to learn a few tracks. He played just a small sample on the phone and it sounded awesome. Bass shred madness. I'm excited to be making progress and hope to have the guitar tracks done pretty soon. The album will be called 'Divine Allegiance'. There will also be a 15-16-minute epic track with the same title. I've decided to do a total of nine songs instead of eight. Macaluso was nice enough to record the last song on very short notice. It ended up sounding quite bad ass. Some wicked blast beats... ha ha. Drummers, be prepared!"

Recording lineup for the debut STYGIA album:

Todd Seitz (STYGIA) - Guitar
Michael Vescera (ex-LOUDNESS, ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN) - Vocals
John Macaluso (ex-YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, ex-ARK, ex-TNT) - Drums
Michael LePond (SYMPHONY X) - Bass
Michael Pinella (SYMPHONY X) - Keyboards
Hank Shermann (MERCYFUL FATE, FORCE OF EVIL, DEMONICA) - Guest Guitar Solo

The band intends to do some live performances after the LP release.
