SUFFOCATION Drummer: New Album Will Silence All Doubters

June 28, 2006

Legendary New York death metallers SUFFOCATION recently completed work on their self-titled new album at Full Force Studios in Long Island, NY. Drummer Mike Smith commented on the recording process: "We have the ability to work in our timeframe and comfort zone where the best results will always occur. We are completely confident in the turnout of this new release. This album will silence any who may still attempt to doubt the abilities and intentions of SUFFOCATION. We never feared our abilities; what we fear is the ability of the industry to finally take the scene to the level it should be, in the forefront of all that is extreme. The kids are starving for music made from the heart. We are also looking forward to the upcoming tours that will be scheduled to support it."

"Suffocation" is scheduled for a September 2006 release via Relapse Records. The CD will feature artwork from acclaimed tattoo artist JonZig from Skingraver Tattoo Studio in Austin, TX. U.S. tour with FEAR FACTORY, HYPOCRISY and DECAPITATED will follow in the fall. Exact cities and dates can be found at Suffocation.us.
