SUFFOCATION: Orangevale Footage Available

March 31, 2009

Capital Chaos has uploaded video footage (see below) of legendary New York death metallers SUFFOCATION performing their classic song "Thrones Of Blood" on March 29, 2009 at The Boardwalk in Orangevale, California. Also on the bill were PSYCROPTIC, VEIL OF MAYA, DECREPIT BIRTH and WHITECHAPEL.

SUFFOCATION entered the studio on January 31 with Joe Cincotta (who worked on the band's last two releases) to begin recording its new album, "Blood Oath". The follow-up to 2006's self-titled record will be mixed by Zack Ohren (ALL SHALL PERISH, DECREPIT BIRTH) and cover artwork will once again be brought to life by Jon Zig (DEEDS OF FLESH, DISGORGE, GORGASM). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Dismal Dream", "Undeserving", "Confines of Disillusion", "Blood Oath", "Come Hell Or High Priest" and "Provoking the Disturbed".

"Blood Oath" is tentatively scheduled for an early summer release in Europe and North America via Nuclear Blast Records.
