September 14, 2005

Reunited death metal legends SUFFOCATION have returned home from a very successful South American tour in support of their latest release, "Souls to Deny".

The South American headlining tour kicked off on September 3 in Colombia and came to a conclusion on September 10 in Ecuador. On their September 6 date in Santiago, Chile, the band performed alongside peers and death metal legends MORBID ANGEL. Photos taken during this tour are available at this location.

SUFFOCATION guitarist Guy Marchais raved about his South American trip: "South America blew me away! I had no idea it was so cool there. The fans were the craziest I have ever seen, the pits were huge! They swarmed us everywhere we went." Drummer Mike Smith added, "The South American shows were packed and insane, they are very loyal to their scene there. We would like to thank all of the individuals involved in making the tour happen."

SUFFOCATION will begin their North American headlining tour on October 1 in Houston, TX. This fall tour is expected to conclude on November 7 in New York, NY. Support will be provided by CRYPTOPSY, DESPISED ICON and ABORTED, with VADER, DECAPITATED and WITH PASSION joining the bill at later dates.
