SUHRIM Drummer Quits
February 24, 2009Drummer Kevin De Leener has quit the Belgian death metal band SUHRIM. The group says, "Kevin call[ed] it a day as drummer in SUHRIM for the same reason as Reinier [Schenk, bass]. He also will help us out with the coming shows until we found a worthy replacement for the spot behind the drumkit in SUHRIM in the band. We gained a good friend and lost a great drummer. Let it be clear this does not mean at all that SUHRIM quits; we go on as always."
SUHRIM is currently in pre-production for its new, as-yet-untitled album, which is slated for a October 2009 release through Shiver Records.
SUHRIM's third album, "Happy Hour", was released in 2007 via Shiver. The CD was recorded at Hertz Studios (VADER, HATE, DECAPITATED) in Bialystok, Poland with the acclaimed producer duo Wojtek and Slawek Wieslawscy. The cover art and layout was created by Swedish artist Carlos Holmberg (SOILWORK, SCARVE, TERROR 2000).
