SUICIDE CITY Named 'Best Indie Band' At INDEPENDENT MUSIC CONFERENCE
September 3, 2006SUICIDE CITY, the new group featuring ex-BIOHAZARD guitarist/vocalist Billy Graziadei and former KITTIE bassist Jennifer Arroyo, has been named "Best Indie Band of the Year" by the IMC (Independent Music Conference).
The Independent Music Conference takes places from August 30 until September 4 at Sheraton Society Hill in Philadelphia, PA. Graziadei and Arroyo were invited to be guest speakers at the convention. In addition, SUICIDE CITY will be playing the closing party today (Sunday, September 3) at Finnigan's Wake in Philadelphia.
Since the May 2005 release of its self-financed EP, entitled "Not My Year", SUICIDE CITY has reportedly sold over 5,000 CDs hand to hand, without the help of "proper" distribution.
