SUN CAGED: Debut Album Delayed
May 25, 2003Dutch progressive metallers SUN CAGED, who feature in their ranks STAR ONE keyboardist Joost van den Broek, have pushed back the projected released date for their debut album to October 22. "Just when the CD was about to be manufactured, [Finland's] Lion Music was able to agree on a licensing deal with Japanese Maquee/Avalon Records," states a posting on the band's official web site. "This means the album will be released in Japan, with a bonus track. The band will soon record this bonus track. Marquee insists that the regular (European/US) version of the album won't be released before the Japanese version, so the global release date has been pushed forward to October 22nd 2003."
SUN CAGED's debut CD was mixed by AYREON/STAR ONE mastermind Arjen Anthony Lucassen. A U.S. release date has yet to be announced.
