SWEDEN ROCK Festival Nearing Sell-Out

April 22, 2004

Last year, Sweden Rock festival sold out all the 15,000 two-day tickets two days before the first band took the stage. That was actually the first time ever the festival was sold out. This year the tickets will sell out much earlier.

As of today, more than 13,000 of the 16,000 three-day tickets have been sold. That means that there are less than 3,000 tickets left with seven weeks to go. The statistics from the previous years shows that the big rush for tickets is the last 6-7 weeks before the festival starts.

The festival — which will be held June 10-12 in the southern parts of Sweden outside the city of Sölvesborg — is selling one-day tickets. For June 10 and 11, a little over 500 per day have been sold, and for June 12, when the re-united EUROPE are scheduled to close the festival, over 1,000 tickets have been sold. In all, the organizers expect to sell 2,000 one-day tickets for each day of the festival.

Sweden Rock festival continues to bring over fans from all over the world. As of today, tickets have been sold to fans in 31 different countries, among them Norway (1,100 tickets so far),followed by Germany (400),Denmark (300) and England (200). The visitors that will travel the longest road to Sweden Rock is a company of 16 people coming all the way from Australia to see EUROPE perform on June 12.
