Sweden's ETERNIA Change Name To DESTYNATION
March 8, 2005Swedish heavy metal band ETERNIA have changed their name to DESTYNATION.
"We have decided to change name because the fact that there are already several bands with similar names and also because we have progressed musically towards a sound that does not match the name ETERNIA and all that it stands for," the group write in a statement.
The band, who hail from Ornskoldsvik in the northern parts of Sweden, have been spreading their message and music since 1997. Their debut album, "Tales of Power", was released in March 2002 and was followed by a three-song single, "Shadow Gate", in 2003.
Three brand new songs from DESTYNATION — "Rising Up", "Freedom" and "Threshold of Pain" — are currently available for download from the group's web site, www.destynation.com.
