February 7, 2008

Queens, New York-based hardcore/metal act SWORN ENEMY recently completed its inaugural Japanese trip by co-headlining the country's Pump Up The Volume festivals in Kawasaki and Osaka. This marked the second international tour in support of the group's new album, "Maniacal", which is set for a February 12 release. A new 30-second commercial spot, featuring clips from the band's new video, "A Place Of Solace", is now available for viewing below.

Commented guitarist Lorenzo Antonucci: "We just got back from our trip to Japan and can't begin to explain how amazing it was. The people in Japan treated us with so much respect. It was our first time there and we were getting stopped in the streets to sign CDs and to take pictures, which was awesome. The shows were even better than expected, and it was an awesome feeling. We had a great time sharing the stage with BANE, MISERY SIGNALS, SET YOUR GOALS, among others.

"We are currently preparing for our upcoming onslaught of North America alongside EARTH CRISIS and TERROR. We can't wait to see people's reactions to the new material and look forward to meeting everyone on the road. Be sure to come by the merch booth and say hello. SWORN ENEMY has never been more lethal, so prepare to be annihilated."

SWORN ENEMY kicks off the North American touring cycle for "Maniacal", co-produced by Tim Lambesis (AS I LAY DYING) and Joey Z (LIFE OF AGONY),on February 29 as part of the EARTH CRISIS reunion tour, a month-long trek which also features TERROR, SHAI HULUD, DOWN TO NOTHING and RECON.
