SYRACH Drummer Quits
October 12, 2010Drummer Adam Suleiman has left Norwegian doom metallers SYRACH. The band states, "We have been seeing this coming for some time, since he's only been in Bergen twice in one year for rehearsals. Fair enough, since he got a great job in Oslo he have our understanding and the best of luck in the future. Hopefully he will not quit drumming, as he is FAR too good to leave his sticks on the shelf, especially since he is only 25 years old... (joke!)."
SYRACH in June entered the studio to make a pre-production recording of four brand new songs.
The band's sophomore album, "A Dark Burial", was released in July 2009 via Napalm Records. The CD was produced by Bjørnar Nilsen and features artwork (see below) by Martin Kvamme, who has previously worked with FANTOMAS, Mike Patton, DARKTHRONE and lots of other artists.
SYRACH was formed in 1993 in Kalandseidet, near Bergen, Norway — a region known to have spawned bands like IMMORTAL and BURZUM, to name a few.
